The wife and I decided that on Spring Break (3/19) we would drive out to West Virginia and visit some friends and see the sights. We both had been there for a few days before but really weren’t able to see and do all that we wanted while there.
So this year we motored out through Kentucky and parts of Tennessee and made it to Summersville West Virginia. It took us about 13 hours to get there. While there we were able to see many waterfalls, get outdoors, go over one of the most beautiful scenic byways, experience food we had never tried before (ramps – a garlicy type wild onion that only grows in that area, and grape pizza) and visit some great friends. It was an awesome time and the country is beautiful – Almost Heaven is right!
